Real Estate Attorney – Milford Office

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience handling residential and commercial transactions. Litigation Associate – Westport Office
In the Municipal & Litigation Practice Groups

Provides legal representation and services to municipal and private sector clients. The position will focus in
the following areas: tax collection, foreclosures, property tax assessment appeals, general civil litigation, land use
and zoning and general municipal law.

Example of Duties:
• Represents municipalities and private third-party purchasers of municipal tax liens in foreclosure lawsuits
related to unpaid municipal taxes.
• Represent municipalities in all aspects of blight and zoning enforcement actions.
• Provide assistance with various aspects of property tax assessment appeal lawsuits, including discovery
compliance and drafting pleadings.
• Provide assistance in litigation in the areas of personal injury, family law and commercial.
• Perform research and analysis of questions of law and/or administrative regulations.
• Draft municipal ordinances, regulation proposals, and other related documents.
• Prepares information materials regarding municipal regulatory policies and procedures.
• Provide assistance to municipal officials, Boards, Commissions or Committees.
• Attends municipal department, board and commission meetings and provides legal advice.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Thorough knowledge of the state legal system and its procedural requirements.
• Ability to make well-reasoned, persuasive legal arguments, orally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Practicing member of the Connecticut Bar for two (2) years. Experience
in litigation and in municipal law areas is preferred.
