HR Bootcamp

Managing employees can be challenging even for the most seasoned Human Resource professionals and supervisors. This informational series includes 90-minute informal and interactive discussions with our experienced labor and employment attorneys on employment issues routinely encountered in the workplace.

These sessions are designed to provide an opportunity to understand and discuss best practices and strategies for effective workplace management and the important role HR and supervisors play in achieving those goals, not only to create and maintain a positive and productive workplace environment, but to minimize legal risk to the employer.

Who Should Attend?
The program is designed for Senior Executives, HR professionals, supervisors, and other personnel who are involved in managing or training employees.

Our Next HR Bootcamp will be held on Friday, June 14th from 8:00 -9:30 a.m.
New Rules About Overtime and Non-Competes

Major changes are coming this summer thanks to recent regulatory action by the federal government. Many employees will become newly entitled to overtime unless you take action to adjust their compensation by July 1st. Employers who utilize non-competition agreements will need to consider other options in light of a near-total non-compete ban.

Topics covered in this complimentary seminar will include:

* Determining whether you need to adjust salaries or make other changes to comply with the new overtime rule
* Strategies for notifying employees of compensation changes
* Planning to meet notification requirements to current and former employees with non-competes
* Identifying alternatives to non-competition agreements to protect your business interests
There will be a Question & Answer session at the end of the meeting.

The following attorneys will present this seminar:

Rebecca Goldberg

Jordan A. Vazzano

Sessions will be presented at our Milford office which is located at 75 Broad Street, Milford, CT, and via Zoom.
