Berchem Moses PC Welcomes Attorney Alessandra Pellegrino Pulit to its Education Law Department

Berchem Moses PC is pleased to announce that Attorney Alessandra Pellegrino Pulit has joined the firm as an Associate in the Education Law Department at its Milford office. Ms. Pulit concentrates her practice in the areas of education law and labor and employment.

Prior to joining Berchem Moses PC, Ms. Pulit practiced law at a prominent firm in Westchester County, New York, where she represented boards of education in Westchester, Orange, and Ulster Counties. Her work included residency disputes, student discipline, and teacher discipline and termination proceedings before administrative agencies, appellate bodies, and in federal courts. She also served in a general counsel capacity, advising school boards on a broad array of legal issues impacting public education.

A native of Connecticut, Ms. Pulit brings a personal commitment and deep passion for serving school districts in her home state. “It is an honor to return to Connecticut and serve the school communities that shaped who I am,” she said.

Ms. Pulit earned her Juris Doctor from Pace Law School, where she served as President of the Italian-American Law Organization, a student mentor, and a student attorney with the Health Law and Disability Rights Clinic at John Jay Legal Services. While at Pace, she also participated in the 2019 American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition and the International Criminal Court Moot Court Regional Round for the Americas.

Ms. Pulit holds a B.A. in History, with minors in Political Science and Philosophy, from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. During and after her undergraduate studies, she worked for six years in the Cheshire Public Schools as a substitute teacher and summer school instructional assistant, supporting students with a wide range of disabilities. Her firsthand classroom experience informs her legal work and deepens her understanding of the challenges faced by educators and administrators.

Ms. Pulit is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut, the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
