Executive Orders Extended into 2021

Effectively immediately, Governor Lamont today issued Executive Order 9L, which reissues all current unexpired executive orders – effectively extending them to February 21, 2021, unless earlier modified or terminated.

Today’s Order also extends any unexpired agency or municipal orders, rules, directive, or guidance issued pursuant to any unexpired Executive Orders, unless earlier modified or terminated by the issuing authority or subsequent executive order.

The Governor previously order the State roll back re-opening guidelines to Phase 2.1, a slightly modified version of Phase 2, in response to increased infections, hospitalization and death rates related COVID-19 in Connecticut and surrounding states.  Under Phase 2.1 certain businesses, including restaurants (in-person dining), movies theaters, and bowling alleys are required to close by 10 p.m. In addition, most capacity limits were rolled back to 50%, and caps were reimposed on social gatherings.  Click here for Phase 2.1 Rules.
