Team BMD Helps Raise Funds For The Newtown Collaborative Recovery Fund In The 2017 Sandy Hook 5k

Sandy Hook 5k

Team BMD once again participated in the annual Sandy Hook 5K which was held on April 1, 2017 to raise money for the Newtown Collaborative Recovery Fund. The Fund helps pay the out of pocket mental health expenses for those who have been most impacted by the 12-14-12 tragedy. This year, more than $68,000 was generated through this event. A percentage of the proceeds will go directly to the chosen nonprofit organizations of the 26 families who lost loved ones.

Ryan Driscoll was this year’s team leader. Dave DeGrasse, and John Khalil represented BMD and ran for the cause along with 1,300 other participants. Special congratulations to John Khalil who came in second in his age group with a time of 21:39!
