The BMD Westport office has been an annual sponsor of the Westport Sunrise Rotary Duck Race, a major Rotary fundraising event held each June. Participants purchase small plastic “ducks” that “race” in the river. All of the funds go to local charities. In addition, a duck decorating contest is held each year, and this year the firm’s entry was the First Place winner. The decorated duck, shown above, was the creation of the Westport staff directed by Janice Kassimis, and it depicts a “duck trial.”
